Worst Service Experience

Today I had the worst service experience of my life. I would definitely recommend taking your car to a different dealership. I took the car there for what I was told would be a quick drop off to receive a complimentary vehicle. Nearly two hours later, I never got the complimentary vehicle and had to take an uber only to be late for an important work meeting. Now I'm stuck, not sure when I'm getting the car back. I will have to uber back to the dealership just to get it. A complete waste of time and money when I should have received a courtesy vehicle. Staff was incredibly rude and desrespectful, pushing me to go to other areas to find out when I would get a complimentary vehicle. Never got an answer and had to rush out in an uber.

I called them to ask how much is lease payment on specific car, i told upfront that i've been pre approved with different bmw dealership (to show i'm real buyer), but after i received approval they said that car has been taken by loaner department. So, i spoke to guy named August and ask to check specific car to make sure they have it, since i didn't want to waste anybody time, guy gave me quote on lease payments and said car is available. I asked him few times about it, since i has to reschedule some appointments and i was 1.5 drive away, he said ok to me. I took uber to get there, 20 mins before arrival i called him and he said that he's leaving and some other sales person will help me. Ones i arrived i've been told they don't have that car, since one of the managers took it. They offer me other options of course and i didn't like, i was pissed with that situation at that point. After that they told me car i wanted has 2500 miles on it, but quote i was provided over the phone/email said it's 10 miles only, they made mistake and when i asked if they can give car for less monthly payments since it's used they only offer $15 discount and explained it's not used because it's wasn't titled and manager drives car (who cares if it was titled or not, it has 2500 miles on it!) When i was in discussion with sales manager Juan Soto (who was there for 18 years as he said) he mentioned that it was mistake and there is nothing they can do. I canceled appointments with other people, spent few hours on phone/email with salesperson, spent $100 on uber and there is nothing you can do? As i said in person to him, his not the owner of the dealership, he doesn't care and that's why nothing he can do. Owners/General manager of that dealership, you have 92 reviews on yelp and average score is 2.5 starts, which way are you guys looking? I understand you've been in business for sometime and you have clientele, but instead of losing clients you can earn more business just with simple good customer service!

I have never written a negative review before, for anything, but I am compelled to warn anyone planning on using South Motors BMW. Terrible place. Very friendly to get you in a car, but poor customer service when you are having problem with your car. I just bought an BMW XDRIVE35i looks very nice but not good at all. Have problems with it since day one. It is unstable when turning left or right even at low speed, loud noise when rolling windows up or down and many others small problems( but important for plesant driving). I was mistreated by sales staff as well as management. I expected management to care about whether or not I would leave a happy customer or an angry customer... and they do not! The staff would not admit their mistake I will never do business with South Motors BMW again and I would recommend that you don't either. There are other dealerships in town. Just because they feel that they have a geographic monopoly does not give them the right to abandon all customer service. The lack of care for the customer is shameful.

The manager Edward was very helpful is creating the right package for me as far as the financials .... Did South Motors BMW in Miami Intentionally Damage My Engine?

I took my BMW to South Motors BMW for an inspection. The were no oil leaks when I brought the car to South Motors BMW. The inspection report indicated that the car had severe oil leaks from several areas. Prior to retrieving the car from South Motors BMW I checked my driveway for oil, there was none. There was no evidence that my car was leaking any oil whatsoever. When I got the car home, I left the car running in the driveway for about five minutes, then checked the driveway for oil. There was a puddle of oil. Now the car does have severe oil leaks. South Motors now wants $2,500 to $4,900 to fix the problem. But this problem did not occur until I took the car in for the inspection. Is is possible that South Motors BMW caused the oil leaks in order to do the repairs? I think so.

Worst Service Department in the city

Quite possibly the worst service department I have ever visited. Here's my story: I recently bought a new 2011 Mini Copper for my daughter. After a month, the plastic cover on the sun visor broke off. I setup appt at South Motors to replace, and after dropping off car, waited 2 hours to be told the part needed to be ordered. OK, so weeks go by, and no response to the part, until I get a survey a month later and I kill them on it. Within an hour someone calls me apologizing, to let me know the person that was supposed to order the part quit, and didn't place my order (??!!). By now I'm thinking this place is a little disorganized, but no worries. I make a follow-up appt and arrive to get the new visor installed. Now a new service advisor comes to me to tell me the cost is $130 for the part and installation. When I ask why I would need to pay anything, hios response is "broken parts are covered under warranty". Now I'm really pissed, and I tell him to just give me my car back. I figure I'll write a letter to them and complain later. By now I've wasted 2 mornings, and nothing's been done. Finally when I go get the car, I'm told the key's been "misplaced". After another hour, I'm told it was put in another customer's car, so they need to go pick it up. Long story short - it took me 3 hours to get my car, and no visor replaced. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

SOUTH BMW - UNETHICAL & FRADULENT

I visited BMW South while I was visiting other car dealerships in the area searching for a new vehicle. I test drove and began negotiations with Carlos Dieseldorff, Sales Representative, for the purchase of a 128 series. After negotiating, I advised Mr. Dieseldorff that I still was not sure if I wanted to take the car. He then suggested I take the car for the day as a loaner. There would be no cost and I can return the next day without any obligation. I agreed to take the car and signed a Borrowed Vehicle agreement and provided them with my credit card and insurance, in case of any damages. At this point, Mr. Dieseldorff had been polite, courteous, and very professional. The next day I decided to visit Braman BMW who is located only 5 minutes from my home. Braman gave me a better deal on the car so I decided to make the purchase through them. They also offered to have the loaner returned to South BMW on their flatbed tow truck. I appreciated the extra service since BMW South was about 40 minutes away. I later spoke with Mr. Dieseldorff and advised them I decided to purchase the vehicle through Braman the car was enroute to their dealership. While, understandably Mr. Dieseldorff was not happy I did not close the deal with him he was not rude or out of line. He was concerned because the car had his dealer tag on it and he said he could get in trouble. I told him I would be happy to contact Braman so they can provide him with an exact time the car will arrive and proceeded to call Braman. While I was on the phone with Braman, I received a call from a gentleman that identified himself as Marco Ruiz, "Directory of Security" for BMW South (I later came to find out no such position exists and in fact this was the Sales Manager), advising (or better said screaming) at me that "if the car was not there in 1 hour he would report the call stolen and charge $3000 to my credit card." Literally this man was talking to me like a common day thief at which point I told him he can speak with Braman directly because I would not allow for him to speak to me that way. The car was delivered as promised but two days later I was charged $500 on my credit card by BMW South. American Express has been investigating the incident and BMW South is now stating the charge is because the car was returned without floor mats. #1) The car NEVER had floor mats---it had paper mats like the ones used after your car has been washed"”Interesting note that they did not state the car was damaged because obviously they would need to show photos and actually proof, instead they opt to state things are missing that were never there. #2) There are NO floormats on bmw.com for $500!! The most expensive on the whole site are $245. #3) They are accusing me of STEALING and basically committing FRAUD to try and get whatever money they can. This is the most blatant non-ethical and unprofessional behavior I have ever been involved in a sales transaction. I work in sales so I COMPLETELY understand how it feels to lose a deal but NEVER would I resort to such disgusting and ludicrous behavior. I had stopped by BMW South just because I was in the area looking at other cars or I would have gone to BMW Braman to begin with. Especially ironic, is that my sister bought her first BMW with BMW South and had a similar situation. She was sold the car which supposedly had the Bluetooth feature where you can control your IPOD through the radio of the car. After she purchased the car and tried to use the feature, it would not work"”she later found out it in fact did NOT have the feature. When she complained to the sales manager (don't know if it is the same one), he offered her free floor mats instead of properly installing the feature she was promised. It's ironic that in this whole process I believed I received better treatment from the sales representative than the Sales Manager. But unfortunately if crooks are running the management of the establishment, it will ruin it for all parties involved. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NEVER PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM BMW SOUTH!!!

I would also never buy a BMW from these crooks again. Back in 1992, I leased a brand new 540i from South Motors and soon after became aware that the car they sold me had been involved in a major head on collision and had major repairs done on it.

In addition, they had turned back the odometer attempting to conceal the damage. I know this because I sued them in Dade Co. court and we subpoenaed all the repair documentation and the dealership delivery manifest.

After 4 years of waiting for a court date, South Motors finally settled for $20,000 without admitting their guilt. My attorney got almost all of it after 4 years of legal costs.

Poor Quality/Terrible Service

You would think that after purchasing a $90K+ car that you are buying quality and service---but that just isn't so. The BMV 200* 750 LI has proven just the opposite. I have had a litny of electrical issues, the car has left me stranded 3 times ( in 10 months) and the wonderful BMW roadside assistance only takes 2 hours for service. Then you are greeted by the worse service providers (South Motors). They have the worse customer service program imagineable; you are never guaranteed a loaner (you are lucky if you get a Geo) and are never updated with the status of your car. Then to top it off I've had my tire blow on the turnpike twice!!!! Don't every buy a BMW and never at South Motors---Lesson learned.

Want a good car, go Japanese. Stay away from *** made cars like overpriced junk called BMWs.

They're made to break down - so you have to buy another *** BMW. If you want dealerships who treat you like *** - buy BMW.

Guest

I feel sorry that you wasted so much money on a *** car made by a company with poor customer service.

At least you didn´t kill yourself and now you don´t have to cringe when you tell people you own a BMW.

Want reliability? Look into a Lexus or Mercedes. Want something agressive and exclusive? Buy a Jag.

Want Germany´s version of a 70´s Mustang (well, it´s fast..and..um..it has lots of nice orange lights..and..er..the plastic is ok...and on my block only 6 people have one...) buy a Beemer.

Guest

That place is the worst place to EVER take you car to be serviced and to work! They don't care for any one but them selves and hate giving out loners. We are instructed to say "2 hour minimum for service to get a loaner, and what you are coming in for takes less than an hour". Then your car is there for days and you are stuck asking for rides.

They are horrible. Dan Warren should be fired. Joe Canaves does nothing for that company.

Look them up. They have had customers tires and rims stolen from their vehicles since 2008 and still happening till today. Then tell the customer they are not responsible for the stolen stuff because you signed off yuor car. Wow. GREAT SERVICE rIGHT????

Guest

Don't attack the guy personally, BMWs (as it happens) are not particularly reliable cars (infact they are quite the opposite), my 3 year old 728i was so riddled with Electrical and trim faults that I sold it at a loss and swore never to buy German again. I bought a Jag after that an have never had ONE problem whatsoever! So *** sad, aggressive BMW lovers, because by personally attacking someone because you don't like what they say about a car just makes you all look like *** (well, like a BMW driver actually!)

Guest

I had a kitten crawl up in to my engine, and if that's not bad enough, BMW south motors wanted $660.00 to remove it and take care of my car. I then went down the street to The Busy Bee car wash and they did it for $20.00. BMW south motors are crooks.

Guest

BMWs are great but south motors is the worst BMW dealership in the US. I bought and took my M3 there once for repairs and because they were overbooked they started to work on it outside in their lot using some cheap aftermarket lift jack. Then they had to lower the car and move it so another car can get through...they tried to lift it again using the jack and thats when I said 'you're done with this car and got out of there...never going back........and do something about the stray cats too.....cats everywhere.....parking lot.....back lot.....showroom...cats everywhere.....disgusting!!!!!

Guest

How is it BMW's, or even the dealership's fault, for your two flat tires?

Stopping whining and deal with it you snob.

You were probably greeted nicely and were just such a *** about everything.

Guest

what would be connection between BMW and English?

96% of people on welfare speaks perfect English, I guess.

Regarding BMW, I had no problems in two year at all. Can't be better. They are still four years before other car mfr.

Guest

How are you buying $90k cars when you cant manage to use proper English.

BMW kicks *** you just need to stop running over nails.
